Ishnaan Seva is the devotional cleaning of the Gurdwara.
At the Golden Temple in India, devotees clean the Guru's Court every morning during the Amrit Vela, the ambrosial hours.
At Guru Ram Das Ashram, we are blessed to do Ishnaan Seva, or "Marble Washing," every Sunday morning, 3:45-5:50 a.m. throughout the year, year after year.
We only post the schedule month by month: (stay tuned for next month)
Listening to kirtan and chanting the Mool Mantra, we vacuum the rugs, wash the marble walls and floor with milk and water, and decorate the Siri Guru Granth Sahib with fresh ramalas, cleansing and uplifting ourselves as well.
Come join us. All are welcome.
We come on this earth to go. We come in grace; therefore, we must go in grace. This is the highest power one has to achieve.
